Where equipment comes with education
We all struggled through the drought in 2016 and this year’s rain. One thing’s for sure, though: No matter the weather, this time of year the leaves will fall and for some of us, bring the pine cones along for the ride. We can’t change these facts, but we can prepare for it. To make clean-up easier, we would suggest the following:
► Pull your fall equipment out of storage and check that it’s in proper working order before you are actually ready to use it. If not working properly, bring it by the shop for a tune up.
► Use the right equipment for the job. A small leaf blower is usually sufficient for a small yard; however, a backpack blower might better serve you if you have a larger yard — come in and try one on.
► When straggly trees and wild shrubs pop up and try to take over your property, the right size chainsaw takes the work out of the job. We have from small, light models to heavier models available for consideration.

I’ve always loved the Cahaba Heights area, so, when the ugly, little gray house on Cypress Drive came up for sale, I jumped on it. Yes, we’re off the beaten path, but somehow customers have managed to find us and keep on coming back.”
Cahaba Lawn & Garden, located at 3940 Cypress Drive, Vestavia Hills, is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Closed Wednesday and Sunday.
