In addition to listing homes to sell and working with buyers, she specializes in resale and working with buyers on new construction. Her favorite part about what she does is the people. “I have the honor of being submerged in people’s lives for a short time, while they make one of the biggest financial decisions they will ever make,” she said. “I usually go through a mourning period once our time together is over.”
Marlow measures her success by her clients’ satisfaction. “If my clients achieve their goals, then I feel we succeeded,” she said. “I don’t set goals each year like a lot of people in my industry do. I just try and do my best with what is put before me.”
According to Marlow, spring is the busiest season in real estate. Her advice for this time of year is not to neglect the exterior of your home.
“There is so much attention now on the interior as far as staging, but the outside of the home needs to look great, too,” she said. “That is a buyer’s first impression.” She suggests sellers paint with neutral colors, pressure wash the sidewalks, driveways and porches, and clean the windows. “All of this goes such a long way,” she said.
